Hello all…. it has been a while since I blogged. I have been busy with all other aspects of Vividesigns and so have not been able to blog as much as I would like to. I am changing this today and hope to keep it up. Today’s post is about one of our amazing May couple. When I first talked to Porsha earlier last year about her vision for her wedding stationery, one thing that stood out to me besides her color theme (purple and gold) was the need for the invitations to embody vintage elegance while also complimenting the elegance of the wedding reception venue.
With this in mind, I worked on creating bespoke pieces to capture the couple’s vision. The wedding invitation was designed to be a square pocket as the bride loved the idea of a square pocket fold. I created an elaborate paisley design as the main focal point for the invitation with a simple and elegant monogram nestled within it. The invitation was printed on Champaign-gold metallic paper, while the inserts were printed on vintage gold metallic paper. A custom map was designed for the accommodation/information insert to help provide guests with simple directions to the event venue. All this was tied together with a wrap made with the vintage gold metallic paper.
The invitations were placed in matching vintage gold envelopes with customized address labels to complete the whole package.
Additional paperie for their wedding day included the flat card wedding ceremony programs, menu cards, escort cards and their “Love song” themed table numbers….which I adore by the way. Each of these were designed to coordinate with the wedding invitation.
I loved how everything turned out, and I am glad Porsha and Darryl were happy as well. Till next time, thanks for stopping by.
